Canon continues it's strive for excellence and is aiming to become the leader in HD DSLR video capture coupled with manual exposure control, while keeping the selectable frame rates. And, the Rebel T2i also offers a new feature when it comes to HD movie caputure, Movie Crop, which will give any photographer an additional 7X zoom without any loss of quality on their images while they are shooting SD quality video.

"There is no question that HD video is the biggest trend in DSLR technology and because of this we are seeing the creativity of still photographers transferring to the moving image. Still photographers are using the various lenses and accessories they are already familiar with to create amazing video footage," stated Yuichi Ishizuka, executive vice president and general manager, Consumer Imaging Group, Canon U.S.A. "Taking that HD video quality and putting it in the hands of entry-level photographers with cameras like our new EOS Rebel T2i, we are seeing a new generation of creative digital artists emerge."

Enhanced features on the new EOS Rebel T2i include:

1. HD video capture with all of the latest and greatest technology that includes shooting full HD video at 1920X1080 resolution, complete with selectable frame rates, full manual exposure control, and even visual options of interchangeable lenses.

2. Manual video exposure control will help to provide new filmmakers with the control over their images that they love in their DSLR cameras yet still allow them to shoot professional-grade video.

3. Those professional photographers that love to use creative lighting, depth-of-field and lenses to create awesome photographs as well as videos, will also love the fact that the Rebel T2i still gives these same tools to both professionals and beginners alike - allowing anyone to become a creative master with all of their shots.

When photographers utilize this ISO limit, it's also easy for videographers to keep the dark, shadowy areas that they want in any scene.
