I bought the Unibind PhotoBook Creator Kit as a way to offer proof books to my clients. I have to say that I was immediately impressed with how easy this machine is to use. You simply create the photobook on your computer with their software, print the pages out, place the pages and your cover choice in the machine and hit the button. The light changes color when it's ready and you have a strong, sturdy resin binding that will not come loose.

Plus, I love the fact that you can order any type of cover materials you want - leather, linen, paperback - anything you can find to order for photobook covers will work with the Unibind PhotoBook kit. And, you can also use just about any size of photobook that you want, as long as it fits on the machine (which means that the huge books you can't do on this one). Overall, it gives you a massive amount of freedom to create the perfect photobook however you want. My mom even found out that she can use this to create some really nice scrapbooks for family and friends, as this is extremely easy to use.

My only issue with this photobook kit is the software. When I bought the kit, I had Windows XP on my computer. It didn't really get along well with XP. I got funky error messages all the time and would constantly have to watch to make sure that all of the pages were printing correctly. But, when I upgraded my computer and got Vista (it also works on Windows 7 which I have on my laptop), I had no problems out of the software at all. So, if you're using XP, it will give you some odd warnings at times, but just click "no" on most of them and your photobook will print just fine.

Any professional photographer out there who wants to offer a photobook option to their clients - whether it be as a special price option or as a proof book - the Unibind PhotoBook Creator Kit is a superb choice. You have complete freedom to do the photobooks however you like and you can easily control the price as well.
