For Apple users, iPhoto Photo Books are a great way to design wonderfully unique photo books that are printed and shipped directly to your home.  Create travel books, memory books, or just put together some of your favorite memories, all in a beautiful, custom designed photo book.

Apple iPhoto photo books do offer some of the same perks that other photo book printers offer up, with the main difference that you have to be an Apple user to utilize their services.  Their photo books come in several different sizes, with over 15 different templates to choose from for the pages and layouts of your photo book.  While the covers are either linen or paperback, one downside to Apple iPhoto photo books is that they do not offer leather or other materials for covers.  But, you will be able to order dust jackets with the hardcover photo books if you prefer.

The Apple iPhoto photo books offer a great way for Apple users to create a photo book that offers up some of the same perks that other photo book creation sites do, except that these are specifically for those that use Apple computers with an Apple account. While they don't offer the leather covers like some of the other sites do, they do offer a lot in the way of templates for pages and cover designs. Their software is easy to use, but does crash a bit, so be careful as I had to completely redo everything the first time it crashed on me.

The pricing isn't bad overall compared to the other sites out there, and with their turnaround time being about the same (with a simple photo book), it's extremely easy for Apple users to create a beautiful product without much effort. I would recommend that any Apple user check out the iPhoto photo books and see what they have to offer you before you go anywhere else.

The workflow from iPhoto to getting your book back in the mail is quite simple and quick. However, if you forget to put a photo someplace in the middle of the book, it's a pain to redistribute the rest of the photos while designing it. The book creation process is pretty straightforward but not very customizable. The quality of their paper far surpasses the albums I've ordered from Kodak or Snapfish.

The location setting is a great feature. You can use the GPS metadata from your photos to create a map page in the book with pushpins where the photos were taken. This part is quite customizable although it uses a ton of RAM to update the page every time you make a change.
